what i have done so far!

I have been working really hard on UFO's lately. But, have taken a break from them to start on a new "artsy/bizarre" wallhanging.......here's the part i have done. He's a cutie!   The colors in the photo aren't quite right, but you get the idea.  He is "popping out" of either a gopher hole or a volcano.........

totally finished

Here it is!

Used the leftover fabric for the back.....and i like it.

I also made my sister-in-law an apron at her request.

It looks like tomorrow may be a snow day, so I hope I get time to sew.

My Weekend

I finished the top for my "Saturday Sampler" this long weekend. I didn't finish using one of the "Three Sisters" formats, but I like it this way.  The top middle block took me, I swear, at least five hours to do......a lot of ripping!  Now I'm anxious to get it quilted.  I  am going to piece the backing with what i have left of the brown and pink fabrics.

Dawn got about a  half dozen littler projects going, which is going to kill her, because she usually has to finish one before she can start another!

This is the wallhanging Dawn got finished except to blanket around the leaves and quilt.  You can see the true colors better below where it's behind the chickens.

This Christmas wallhanging she is making for me!  All the chickens have names too...the only one i can ever remember is Babette.....she's the second from the left.

This started as a panel, and she put about seven borders on it.  It is wonderful also.

Here she is with her "ten minute table runner" done except for the buttons.

2011 Quilting Resolutions

there,  i have the title......will add the rest in a bit.

This is the ornament that I am making my sisters-in-law this year for Christmas.  One is done and delivered, and am still working on the other one!
I made a list of things to accomplish over this long weekend, and am making progress at it! Yea.

Out our Deck Door!

The picture doesn't capture the falling snow.......it  just keeps on coming down! The second picture is about an hour after the first one.

My little christmas tree filled with ornaments my sister-in-laws and I have cross stitched over the years.
